Mission and Scope

  Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository (KUKR) is a digital collection of publication by the institute personnel, collected according to the International standard. Including; Research, Academic work, Books, textbooks, and Articles. That has permission to publish from the work owner and limitless years of printing. The service system can search for information anytime, anywhere, and free of charge. To obtain citations at the national and international level. And disseminate knowledge to societies.

History

  Kasetsart University Main Library develops a database to collect knowledge of the university. In 2000, initiated to collect works systematically to develop the “Kasetsart University Intellectual Database” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Kasetsart University. And develop to “Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository”, Open to service on the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the University. Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository development is a collaborative by all the campus with 24 institutions of the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding about Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository and Kasetsart University Archives Database development on January 25, 2016. Beneath the responsibility of Kasetsart University Main Library as a Center of coordinate and collect a university's work, For collect, publish and services. First, at Bangkhen campus and expand to another campus. All institutes will collect and submit creative work into the database, To fulfill Knowledge Repository.

Objective and expectation

1. Organize a Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository in digital form; Standardized and freely accessible.

2. Establish a development knowledge repository network and knowledge service

3. Disseminate creative works of Kasetsart University for reference. And to the community and interested people to widely usable

Operating Structure

The information division has been assigned a mission by the Kasetsart University Library to collect and develop the Agricultural knowledge base and Kasetsart university knowledge repository. Underneath the management by the Head of information division, consist two main missions

1. Collect and develop the Agricultural database, Buffalo database, and Kasetsart university knowledge repository.
Responsible for establishing the database, developing electronic information, and management of Kasetsart university knowledge repository.

2. Extension, dissemination, and establishment of the information system of Agricultural, Buffalo, and Kasetsart university knowledge repository.
Responsible for usage extension, information publishes, development, maintenance, and supervision information system security of the repository.
